An Animated Dissection of the Public Option Option...

This is an interesting break-down of the health insurance public option scenario. Perhaps slightly oversimplified, but it still drives home the basic message that things need to change:

I've thought about this many times. Americans would be up in arms if they had to pay every time they called the firefighters or the police or checked out a library book. How thankful are people that if their child disappears that they can just call up the police and everything possible will be done and the parent doesn't have to add the worry of How much will this cost, can I afford to find my child or will they cut me off when my money is all used up?? to their stress. How thankful would I be if when my child gets sick or hurt I could just take them to the dr./hospital and know that everything possible would be done and I wouldn't have to add the worry of How much will this cost, can I afford it? to my stress.

Health care is outrageous!! I have so much to say on this subject, but most of my friends are tired of hear me talk, they just don't care. It is pretty frustrating. I wish I could express my feelings but I am not that good of a writer. But this I do know, in Taiwan I received faster and more efficient care than here. I don't know how other countries can do it, but we can't.

It is outrageous, and I'm not even looking at it from a parent's perspective. I'm sure it is very much on both of your minds right now. Thanks for your comments, always!
